CCA names new head football, assistant coaches

Clinton Christian Academy recently named Teddy Dyess as their new head football coach and David Parker as an assistant football coach serving as the defensive coordinator.

Coach Dyess is retiring from Ridgeland High School, where he has been the head football coach and athletic director. He has over thirty years’ experience, with twenty-one of those years as a head coach and ten as athletic director.

Dyess has been an eight-time state champ as either a coach or a player. He was chosen three times as the MAC Coach of the year and has also been chosen as the MHSAA Coach of the Year.

Coach Parker is currently the head football coach at Forest High School. He has over twenty-eight years’ experience, with eleven of those years as a head coach.

“I am very excited to be introducing these two gentlemen,” said Head of School Jason Taylor. “I know that our football program is in good hands, and it will get to where it needs to be. This new leadership will not only prepare our young men to be winners on the field, but they will also lead them to be Godly men off the field.”
