Brumfield receives MPE scholarship
Special to The Clinton Courier

Ginny Grace Brumfield
Ginny Grace Brumfield, a second-grade teacher at Northside Elementary School, recently received a one-thousand-dollar graduate scholarship from Mississippi Professional Educators, the state’s largest and premier organization for professional educators. Brumfield is a National Board Certified Teacher and a current Mississippi Christian University student pursuing an educational specialist degree in educational leadership.
Brumfield was among Mississippi Professional Educators (MPE) members statewide recognized for their commitment to education and professional growth. The scholarship supports Mississippi educators who are pursuing graduate-level studies at colleges and universities across the state.
“I have been an educator for more than sixteen years, and when I decided to take the next step in my professional journey, Mississippi College was the clear choice for me,” Brumfield said. “The legacy and reputation of Mississippi [Christian] are undeniable. As an alumna, I know the values the institution works to instill in its students. Returning for my specialist degree has truly felt like coming home.”
As a full-time classroom teacher, Brumfield continues to serve students in the Clinton Public School District while advancing her education. Her pursuit of an educational leadership degree reflects a continued commitment to strengthening schools and supporting student success.
Founded in 1979, Mississippi Professional Educators serves approximately 12,000 teachers, administrators and support personnel across the state. The organization awards up to sixty scholarships annually to members seeking graduate-level degrees in Mississippi.
