By Danny C. Davis

The Clinton High School Arrow 2025-26 boys soccer team was honored at the annual awards banquet held at Mississippi College at Anderson Hall on April 8.

The Arrows finished 13-7-3. CHS fell to Tupelo 3-2 in the opening round of the playoffs in an overtime heartbreaker. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. After two overtime periods, the playoff game was decided in a shootout, with each team having five shots on the goal. Tupelo hit the net one more time than Clinton to advance and end the season for the Arrows.

Thirteen-year head coach Tyler Wade thanked the players, parents and the Arrow Soccer Booster Club for putting on the banquet.

“This is an important night for our program to reflect back on the season,” said Wade. “The season did not end the way we would have liked, but we played hard all season.”

“We had a lot of adversity with injuries and illness during the season. We had different guys out at different times, and that made a lot of difference. I think the guys knew we couldn’t trust our past team’s success, and they always believed they could do it,” said Wade.

Team awards were given out by Wade and assistant coaches Corey Jierski and Michael Pletzke.

Myles Manuel was given the Junior Varsity leadership award. The Rising Arrow Awards were given to Levi Fyke and Zach Pletzke. Named Rookie of the Year was Colton Cox, and Ryan Carite received the 100% Player Award. Bradley Wells received the Team Captain Award, Jackson Carter received the Sportsmanship Award, Cole Hayman received the Most Improved Player Award and Owen Coker received the Arrow Award.
